
Ulrike-Anima Mathé, is recognized as one of today’s most outstanding violinists. She has studied with Francoise Zöldy in Basil, Dorothy DeLay at the Juilliard School and with Tibor Varga in Detmold, Germany. As a soloist she has performed extensively with orchestras such as the Czech Philharmonic, the Stuttgarter Chamber Orchestra, the Camerata Salzburg, the Dallas Symphony and the Polish Radio Orchestra. International awards include the first prizes at the European Violin Competition 1985 in Vienna and at the Queen Elizabeth Competition 1989 in Brussels. She is a passionate chamber musician and has recorded the complete Reger Solo Sonatas, op. 91, the Korngold Violin Concerto with the Dallas Symphony, and a Kreisler album with Sam Sanders for the Dorian label. In 1999 she was appointed violin professor at the Musikhochschule in Detmold, Germany.
