The Cello Seminar of Music from Salem. MfS directors Rhonda Rider, cello, and Judith Gordon, piano, will be joined by guest cellist Scott Kluksdahl from Southern Florida University for an intensive week-long seminar for young professionally-bound cellists. Welcome in the summer with this end-of-the-week celebration concert by twelve cellists and one pianist.
In the tradition of the long-established Cello Seminar, MfS co-director Lila Brown, violist Leonard Matczynski (director of the Apple Hill Chamber Music Festival), and pianist Marc Ryser will lead an intensive week for young violists. After "visiting the room of their talent" in the magical atmosphere of the Brown Farm, they will present the fruit of the week's immersion at a concert at Hubbard Hall.
