– A Collage Workshop

Learn how to utilize ordinary materials in extraordinary ways by cutting, tearing, piecing and layering. Concepts of composition and content will be discussed. Bring sharp scissors, cardboard or mat board for base, and whatever bits of ephemera inspire you – old photos, postcards, handmade paper, old magazines, xerox copies, maps, coloring books, fabrics, string, newspapers, packaging, stamps, old calendars, tissue paper!

Music from Salem artistic directors, colleagues, and graduate students from U-Mass Amherst and The Boston Conservatory will sight-read Mozart quartets and other goodies in this cozy, casual mini-fundraiser. You can even bring your own sheet music from the classical period (for up to 6 strings) for us to play.
